Top 5 Business & Entrepreneur Podcast Influences: Feb 24

entrepreneur podcasts feb 24

Entrepreneur and motivational speaker Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

I’m big into listening to podcasts because I always want to be learning, improving, and keeping the inspirational vibes flowing. I typically listen to a combination of sports, business and entrepreneur podcasts, which are the biggest professional areas of my life, and I listen to them any opportunity I can. Walking the dog, at the gym, on the train, or anywhere I’ve got free time that isn’t being occupied by something that needs my undivided attention.

I thought it would add value to let you know who my top five business and entrepreneur podcast influences of the week are. The people I’m spending the most time with. The ones who I am the average of.

I will do this every week and hopefully it’ll give you some inspiration or help you find some awesome new podcasts to add to your rotation. I’ll also include specific episodes that stand out so you know where to start.

Here are my Top 5 Business & Entrepreneur Podcast Influences for the Week of Feb 24, 2016.

  1. The Tim Ferriss Show – the episode with snowboarder and all around stud Shaun White is dripping in awesomeness. It takes about two second to realize why Shaun White is so successful. Not only does he always strive for greatness but he’s got an infectious personality that’s equally as impressive. I also recommend the episode with Walter O’Brien (aka Scorpion) who is this guy with an IQ of 197 that has some incredible stories that you won’t believe.
  2. EOFire with John Lee Dumas – while on the airplane to Sarasota and back for some R&R I hammered through a couple of JLD’s inspiring interviews with entrepreneurs. The episode with Joel Comm about Snapchat is a must listen to for anyone who cares about being ahead of the curve in digital marketing. I also recommend the one with Josh Turner about the sales pipeline system that he created.
  3. The #AskGaryVee Show – I also binge listened to a couple of Gary Vaynerchuk’s most recent#AskGaryVee episodes (ep 181, 182, & 183.) If you care about social media then his podcast is a must listen.
  4. Out of Scope Podcast – I was introduced to Brian Cristiano, the host of this podcast, by having a question of mine read on the #AskGaryVee show. That lead to Brian following me on Twitter, me hitting him up, us jumping on a call, and then interacting on Snapchat. Brian is CEO of Bold Worldwide and is an ace. His podcast is about marketing, sports, & business (all things that I love.) He’s testing out short form podcasts, less than 2 minutes per episode, and they are worth a listen (ep 71 & 72.)

Because of being off the grid without my computer and disconnecting from consuming content I only have four podcasts to recommend this week. Don’t worry, I’ve already got a queue of awesome podcasts to listen to for next week.
